Healthy Families
Helping parents in need
November 01, 2024
SHDHD offers a free and voluntary in-home relationship-based service, called Healthy Families Nebraska Heartland, for low income residents of our district who are pregnant or brand new mothers of infants up to three months. Our work is designed to promote positive parent-child interactions, create healthy parent-child attachment, and build confidence in new parents.
Enroll today to take advantage of this opportunity to get one-on-one advice on all your questions: safe sleep, breastfeeding, normal infant development, illness, immunizations, behavioral concerns, and more.
Know a new mom-to-be who you'd like to see get this kind of help? We love to get referrals. To make a referral, call SHDHD at 402-462-6211 and ask for Tami.
We also offer Circle of Security Parenting® classes, free, for parents and caregivers. The eight-week class is taught by a registered COSP facilitator at SHDHD. If interested, please call our office at 402-462-6211.
All of this is possible via a program called Healthy Families America.
