Wastewater Reports

March 25, 2026

Wastewater surveillance is a public health tool to monitor the prevalence of infectious disease pathogens in a community. How does it work? Virus fragments shed in community-wide stools found in wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) can indicate disease up to a week earlier than clinical data can, while ensuring individual privacy and anonymity. Diseases currently tracked:  Influenza A & Influenza B, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), SARS CoV-2 (Novel Corona Virus).

Current Reports

Tip: Wastewater spikes often precede clinical surges—use alerts as your “heads‑up” to refresh prevention supplies a week early.
