What to Know About Respiratory Illness
October 01, 2025
Illnesses that affect your respiratory system — the common cold, the flu, RSV, and COVID‑19 — spread cyclically every year, typically during the winter months. Symptoms usually start with sore throat, congestion, or cough, but can progress more dangerously depending on your vulnerability. The elderly, and children under six months are immune-compromised and will have difficulty fighting off these viruses. Those with asthma and COPD will find breathing even more difficult than usual. The vulnerable need our help to keep them safe.
So wash your hands regularly and air out your home. Get vaccinated. And stay home when and if you do get sick.
