Health Surveillance Program Assistant Join our team and support our work to prevent disease outbreaks and protect communities. As a health surveillance program assistant, you’ll conduct disease investigations, monitor and report on school and hospital surveillance systems, support outbreak management activities, and assist with reports, visualizations and data presentation for a variety of audiences. This is a part-time position, with opportunity to expand hours.
Seasonal Arboviral Surveillance Assistant This part-time seasonal (approx. May-Oct) position will help us monitor local mosquito populations and gather the information we need to keep the public informed about their risk for West Nile Virus and other mosquito-borne illnesses. If you enjoy being outdoors and are looking for some work experience or a little extra cash, this might be the perfect opportunity! Additional hours may be available, depending on interests and skills.

Home Visitor Program Support Specialist This part-time position will work under guidance of the Healthy Families Nebraska Heartland program, a free and voluntary in-home relationship-based service offered by SHDHD for low-income residents of our four-county district who are pregnant or new mothers of infants up to three months. Our work is designed to promote positive parent-child interactions, create healthy parent-child attachment, and build confidence in new parents.
