Health Surveillance Coordinator Uncover the patterns, protect the population! Use your specialized epidemiological training and expertise where it matters most—in this hands-on role preventing disease outbreaks, protecting communities, and guiding smarter health strategies. As SHDHD's Health Surveillance Coordinator, you’ll serve as disease detective, scientist and storyteller, translating advanced data analysis into critical insights that control outbreaks, decrease health differences and save lives. 

Registered Dental Hygienist with Public Health Authorization (PH-RDH) Want to improve lives? Join our team to provide oral health education and services in the four-county area! This position will focus on the oral health needs of underserved children and older adults. Responsibilities include developing relationships with community partners and working with families, dental professionals, human services agencies, senior living facilities, and other community organizations to promote childhood and older adult dental disease prevention.

Home Visitor Program Support Specialist  This part-time or full-time position will work within South Heartland's Healthy Families Nebraska Heartland program, a free and voluntary in-home relationship-based service offered by SHDHD for low-income residents of our four-county district who are pregnant or new mothers of infants up to three months. Our work is designed to promote positive parent-child interactions, create healthy parent-child attachment, and build confidence in new parents.
